Christmas Eve...... The countdown has begun....

SweetPea is all beside himself.  He is very excited about Christmas, even know he does not believe in Santa anymore.  That is fine with me, because he does know the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  We celebrate Jesus birthday.

Wishing everyone a very blessed Christmas.

Christmas Vacation......has begun

and the first day is a rainy day.  That is ok... I am looking up ways to make homemade ketchup, bbq sauce and spice mixes.  I am wanting to make these instead of purchasing them.  I am trying to get away from corn syrup because it is in everything that you put in your mouth.  I have use organic sugar for a while now, and love it.  The sugar that I use is  Zulka.  This is a non-gmo sugar and it is great.  Once I find these and try them I will share my results.

Many Christmas Blessings

Christmas time is coming and it's my last day to work until Jan 6.

Today is a good day.  The last day that I have to work until January 6, 2015.  I love working in education because we have such good off days.  This is a very nice benefit that comes with the job.  I don't think I could go back to the private sector and work after 13 years of this.  We have two weeks of vacation to use as we need them, a sick day a month, five personal days, and we get off at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break and a bunch of other holidays.  Also if it snows in the south then we have snow days.  2014 was a productive year for snow.  We had many days off.

Christmas is just a week away.  We have been blessed with many Christmas Blessings.  My son will be so excited to see what he is getting.  I hope the holiday break is filled with peace and love.  Sometimes the peace is not always around and I hope that everything works out for the best this year.

I am sending Christmas Blessings to all.

Smiles and Blessings,
Tracy

Blessings List........................

Do you have a bucket list?  I call these my Blessings list.  Here is what I have on my Blessings list:

**    a new or almost new four door truck

**    new furniture for the living room and bedroom

**    new furniture for my son's bedroom

**    to build sheds for our sheep

**    to enclose garage to create another much needed room

**    to have peace within my family

This is just a few but these are important to me.  It is blessings that I need very much in my life right now.  I will lift these desires up to God in prayer.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
                                              Psalms 37:4  KJV

I wish you many SMILES and BLESSINGS

Here is the keeper of our Farm

I have decided to start blogging again......

My husband asked me if I still had my blog or not.  I had deleted it but I have decided that I would like to start it back up again.  I enjoy sharing and following different blogs .

Let me introduce myself to you once again.  I have many names, Child of God, mom, sister, wife, daughter, friend.  I live on a 10 acre farm with my son and husband.  We raise sheep, chickens, cows, and we have a pig, a rabbit and a border collie.  We also have 51 acres that we hunt and fish on, and raise corn and hay.  It is our little piece of paradise.  We love God and all things that are simple.  I love to draw, cook, and craft.  I work outside the home full time  and I attend Southeastern University. I am obtaining my Bachelor's degree.  I am a busy person, but it is all good.

I hope to meet and make many new friends.

Many Smiles and Blessings,

Tracy

I AM WORN........

I'm tired I'm worn
My heart is heavy
From the work it takes to keep on breathing
I've made mistakes
I've let my hope fail
My soul feels crushed by the weight of this world
Pre-chorus:
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn
I want to know a song can rise from ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Cause i'm worn
I know I need to lift my eyes up
But I'm to weak
Life just won't let up
Pre-chorus
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Oh Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn
I want to know a song can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Cause I'm worn
Bridge:
My prayers are wearing thin
Yeah I'm worn
Even before the day begins
Yeah I'm worn
I've lost my will to fight
I'm worn
So heaven come and flood my eyes

Let me see redemption wins
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn
I want to know a song can rise from the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Yes, all that's dead inside will be reborn
Though I'm worn
Yeah I'm worn

Happy 47th Birthday to ME.....................

I can not believe that I am 47 years old today.  It seems like just yesterday I was turning 16.  Life has not always been a bed of roses but I have been blessed with many blessings.

I hope that today will begin many smiles.

TIME LIKE THESE.......

Time like these that I am going thru make me miss those loved ones that have gone before me.  I miss my great-grandmother and my grandmothers very much.  There is not a day goes by that I don't think about them.  I miss my grandfather too.... becuase there is always something that I need to ask him about.  I miss my mother-n-law too... even know we did not see eye to eye on things, she was a very good person and always took care of my son and her only grandchild.  My grandparents and mother-n-law would always help me with my son when school starts and now I don't have anyone to help me with him.  It is very depressing  - not that I depended on them to help me - but it was a nice surprise for them to give him things that would help him along.

No matter how hard I try and think that I will have what I need for him to start to school something always happens.  I always have to count every penny to make ends meet and just survive.  I know with GOD's GRACE we will make it. I just stress a little over the whole situation and that is when memories of my grandparents and my mother-n-law come back the most. I know that I am too blessed to be stressed.

smiles and blessings for a great weekend.

It is almost time for school to start......

Sweetpea will be in the 5th grade this year.  His last year in Elementary School.  He has grown so much this summer.  He is as tall as his mother..... wow now I am looking at him eye to eye..... soon I will be looking up to him.... where has my sweet baby gone.

Sweetpea is a little man.  Ten years old : his jean size is 36x32 - his shirt size is a men's large and shoe size is a men's 12.

Sweetpea can eat you out of the house.  I really don't know how I am going to keep up with him.  It takes all I can do to make sure there is enought for everyone.  Sweetpea will eat two plates full befor his dad and I eat and then Sweetpea eats what is left.  I really don't know where he puts it.

I hope his appetite slows down soon...... or it may just have to be tomato sandwiches for a while.

Schools supplies and school clothes and shoes are top priority now.  Don't know how I am going to be able to afford them....but it will work out ......

Many smiles and blessings to all of you

I am still here ..... skipping along like the Old John Deere

This is a picture of SweetPea that is a few years old.....  but the only picture I could find of the old John Deere............

I did not realized how long it has been since I last posted.......

January was a productive month......  Sweet Pea won first place in 4-H with his radon poster
and then his poster won second place for the State of Alabama.  It can be viewed at sosradon.org under 2014 Poster winners - Alabama.

He also won third place at 4-H round up with his BeyBlade Demostration.

February was an exciting month..... our two ewes had their lambs.  Betty had twins ... Angus and Sadie
and Rosie had a ram that we named Burt.... they are so cute and as precious as can be...

We also have a new member on the farm.... a Zebu calf named Fern...... my husband bought her thinking that she was a bull but the seller made a mistake and sold us a girl...  it was our blessing....  my husband called to let them know what had happen...... they said that it was their mistake so  Fern gets to stay...  plus I was not going to let her go anyway....  I like the little girl alot.

We have the garden turned and getting ready lay our our plan for a garden.  Thinking about the bountiful harvest that it will yield makes me so happy.

Happy Cooking and Many Smiles and Blessings
